Buying your first home at the ripe old age of 22 may seem a little daunting, a 75 year old ‘fix-er-upper’ none the less. Our first lesson here, don’t let anyone fool you when they say all it needs is a little elbow grease.  What started simply as some paint here and there quickly snowballed into gutting the entire house, down to it’s studs. Luckily, we discovered good bones and structure for an oldie – lesson number two, don’t let cosmetic appearance blur your vision, you can do anything with a blank canvas. Here’s our story of taking an ordinary house and making it our home, from hammered thumbs to wrong paint choices, we never looked back – the most important lesson learned.
